Our History and Partners
COMPER Fornalczyk and Partners General Partnership, operating under this name since December 1st 2004, continues the activities of COMPER Competition Development Center, founded by Professor Anna Fornalczyk in April 1998.
The founder of the company, ANNA FORNALCZYK, was the President of the Antimonopoly Office (now The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection) in 1990-95 and was responsible for competition law implementation in Poland. As the president of the above-mentioned government institution she participated in the activities of various committees preparing restructuring programs of the main sectors of the economy (telecommunication, energy, coal-mining, metallurgy, food production) and took part as a government representative in negotiations dealing with the implementation of competition and state aid rules in international treaties, including the Accession Treaty with European Communities. Such vast experience and deep theoretical knowledge of the problem stemming from over 30 years of academic work at the University of Lodz and Business School of Higher Education - National-Louis University at Nowy S±cz ensure the highest quality of consulting in the field of market strategy of companies according to the competition law.
The partner in the Company is MACIEJ FORNALCZYK, who has specialized in market research, state aid, mergers and acquisitions. He graduated a master’s degree course in the University of Lodz. He also graduated post-graduate courses in the field of Financial and Management Accounting in the University of Lodz and in the field of European Competition Law in King’s College London, University of London.Maciej Fornalczyk has an experience in concultancy on antimonopoly and state aid issues. He was involved in a number of projects for private and public sector. He was engaged in projects concerning antimonopoly law, such as: setting schemes for distribution networks, abuse of dominant position, cartel agreements, M&A). maciej Fornalczyk took part in projects on state aid as well for donor and beneficiaries. Maciej Fornalczyk conducts trainings and seminars on antimonopoly law and state aid.
The team of COMPER's employees runs a score of consulting and training projects, including training sessions for more than 1200 persons on state aid to entrepreneurs commissioned by IMC Konsulting Ltd., as well as numerous training sessions for the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. Moreover, COMPER’s staff is vastly experienced in the issues of structural funds, in 2007 – 2013 also addressed to large enterprises, as well as small and medium ones. Our combined experience in the fields of European funds, state aid and anti-monopoly law will guarantee gaining the funds quickly, reporting the usage of the funds effectively and will also ensure that the actions will not arise collision with the anti-monopoly regulations.
